We are each made of music.

We are each made of music.

We are each made of music.

Disease can be defined as any disorder, disruption or disharmony in the body. Sound, vibration and music have long been a part of our response to disease and illness in our quest for well-being. The inter-relationship between sound, music, health and the environment is inextricable. Novalis, the 16th century poet and philosopher, summarizes it best: “Every illness is a musical problem, and every cure has a musical solution.” Sound is the oldest form of healing; we have all experienced some kind of Sound Healing. Sound waves enter the body where sympathetic vibration positively affects our cells, restoring healthy organization. Sound Healing is like a deep massage at the molecular

We are each made of music.

We are each made of music.

To understand the use of sound for healing, it is helpful to realize that all things vibrate: atoms, the cells of our bodies—all living matter—the Earth, her forests and oceans all pulse and vibrate with life. Sound and music tend to bypass the mind and take us to a place of feeling. Our bodies are largely composed of water, and water conducts sound. Sound Healing works on the understanding that the body is not solid. Bodies are energy forms held together by sound or vibration. Disease can indicate we have gone out of tune or that the vibrational rate of the body has lost its rhythm. Musical terms used in medicine: •    Get a “tune-up.” •    to be in “disharmony.” •    to be of “sound mind and body.” Benefits •    Promotes the flow of energy or “Qi” in & around body •    Opens the energetic pathways, alleviating stasis and relieving pain •    Relaxes muscular tension •    Relaxes adrenals, relieves stress and equilibrates the whole body •    Promotes sound sleep

•    Promotes deep and balanced breathing •    Calming—facilitates balance and homeostasis in the body •    Stimulates the body’s healing process •    Reduces joint pain and swelling by increasing natural anti-inflammatory compounds •    Promotes the healing of strained muscles, tendons and ligaments •    Increases bone density •    Energizing & revitalizing

Our Earthly Body

Our Earthly Body

Our physical bodies are made up of water and minerals. The closer we examine the organic nature of our bodies, the more evident it becomes that our physical body is a microcosm of the earthly body we inhabit. Our bodies, like the Earth, are primarily composed of water (70–80%) and we are also composed of very similar minerals and elements. Sound vibration travels extremely well through water. Because the human body is largely composed of water, it is a great receptor and conductor of sound. When we resonate with Ohm, we resonate with the Earth. To recognize the close affinity that exists between the human body and the earthly body upon which we live, is to understand why we would choose to resonate with Ohm.
